So i'm going to give props to my younger brother for finding this website. 3roms.com is a gaming site where you can download emulators (older gaming systems suchs as N64, playstation, gameboy,etc) and then play games by downloading roms (the game itself) on your computer! they're are so many! such as Ocarina of Time and Star Wars Pod Racing (great game)(obviously i'm a fan of N64). The even cooler thing about these things is that they're already installed w/ the ability to access all gameshark cheats!

So go on www.3roms.com and start downloading some of your old favorite games. BTW if your worried about it being illegal, stop worring! Remember from my jailbreaking instructions i don't involve myself in illegal stuff...yeah...moving on. The reason you don't need to worry is because its called FREEWARE!!!!! Freeware are programs that companies have stopped making money on so they release them as freeware.

For anyone who isn't computer savy, starting a game may be a little difficult.

ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS.......
1.) start the emulater (the gaming system)
2.) go to file
3.) open rom
4.) select the rom you downloaded and want to play
5.) and then play!

the controls may be a little weird so you may want to go to options and change them.

Custom Magic Cards

so i am finally putting up another poste...unfortunately its about one i talked about earlier, "Magic the Gathering!!!" I cannot get enough of it! But this time its different! a little anyways. I found this program that lets you make your own magic cards! Its called "Magic Set Editor". It also lets you make "VS" and "Yu-gioh" so it's pretty cool, i dont palyer those other games however...but for any of you that do! its a cool program! Make sure you check them all out!

How To Jailbreak your ipod touch/iPhone

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING!!!!! NOT FOR MY BENEFIT, BUT FOR YOURS!!!! IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE IN THE MATTER THEN YOU NEED TO READ ALL OF IT!!! (or at least skim read it) JAILBREAKING IS NOT HARD, IT'S SO EASY A CAVEMAN COULD DO IT. (seriously...and if you dont believe that then i promise your grandma could do it...if she followed these instructions)

AS THE NEW UPDATES COME OUT FOR THE NEW IPODS/IPHONES THE WAY TO JAILBREAK THEM WILL NOT CHANGE (how convenient), BUT YOU MAY WANT TO READ ABOUT THEM ON

****URGENT URGENT URGENT****
for some strange reason the links i have posted are not working the way they should be. When you click on them they'll load the error page. If this occurs you only need to press the back button to go to the previous page and it SHOULD work.

Before I start I would like to take a moment to say that jailbreaking is the best thing you could ever do for your iPod. I have done my research and I haven't found one person that's had trouble with it. My iPod has been jailbroken for 5 months now and hasn't shown the slightest problem. It really does double the worth of your iPod. The only thing you should know about it is that jailbreaking destroys your warranty on your iPod, so if by some super rare chance something bad does happen...your toast! NOT!!!!!! Well...unless your iPod doesn't show a screen...then your probably toast. If something does go wrong, or isn't the way you like it you can always sync it to your iTunes and press restore. This will erase every bit of info you have on your ipod including music, contacts, apps (not the default ones), etc. But!!! Your iPod will have returned to its normality which re-instates the warranty and then you can start all over.

NOTE: if you have jailbreak-able firmware then skip down to STEP 2

Note: You have to have the current firmware that is jailbreak-able, everything up to 2.2.1 is useable. You can double check by syncing your iPod to iTunes and checking it's main info (that should be the first page that pops up; you know...the page that actually shows a picture of the ipod and the information to the side)

As new updates come to the iPod new jailbreak codes have to be made. So if apple decides to make a new update and you have already downloaded it then your going to have to either wait till a new jailbreak code comes out or downgrade your iPod's firmware. (this is perfectly safe and is actually done through iTunes) (as of 4/22/09 there is no new update that can't be jailbroken)

In case you do have the newest firmware that is not jailbreak-able then here are some links you can use to download the previous jailbreak-able firmware.

WARNING: When you downgrade your iPod it will erase everything you have!!! So make sure you SYNC and store all of your apps and numbers and songs onto your iTunes.

Scroll down until you see the downloadable firmware, click on the one that fits your iPod (whether it be iPhone or iPod touch) and then download to a folder or your desktop (somewhere you KNOW you can find it). NEXT!!! open your iTunes and sync your iPod, hold down the SHIFT key and then press RESTORE (at the same time!) a link box should pop up, your gonna browse your files and click on the firmware you downloaded and then press OK or ENTER whatever the YES button is.

STEP 2) Now you need to download a new program that will do the jailbreaking for you! click on this link.

NOTE: this program is completely safe and will cause no harm to your computer. (and if your still scared just uninstall it after useing it)

Download QuickPWN 3.0 Beta 3 click on it!
Wait a little bit for the download.

If this link doesn't work (darn hackers) then go to http://www.quickpwn.com/ and scroll down until you see the download and click on it.

open up QuickPWN. Make sure your iPod is plugged into the computer. When going through the jailbreaking procedure your going to have to follow some HANDS ON steps. Do not worry if you mess up, if you do the program will say something was wrong and try again (this does not harm your iPod) To give you heads up your going to have press the lock button (the one on the top of your iPod and the Home button, the one at the bottom with the square in it) just follow the instructions and you'll be fine. (it does give you the exact instructions, so don't worry!) (this procedure opens up your iPod for new programming)

after the hands on part your iPod will be jailbreaking, so just wait a little bit...i dont think it takes any more than 15 minutes (probably 5min.)

NOW YOUR IPOD IS SUCCESSFULLY JAILBROKEN!!! YAAAYYYYY!!!!!
You are now one among thousands of people (probably more) who are enjoying their iPod so much more than everyone else.

STEP 3) now comes the best part!! you may have noticed that there are two new apps on your page (these are now default apps and cannot be deleted...there also perfectly safe). first of all...i dont think you need to even worry about the "installer" application. CYDIA is the way to go!!! This is the best part...but is also the LONGEST part! For me, it took 3 hours of searching to get my iPod the way i wanted it (trust me, i did a whole lot of stuff)

This may take a while but trust me it will be worth it!
NOTE: Cydia is sometimes slow, but only Cydia (its HUGE so give it some credit)


to get every Gameboy Advance Game and NES game
STEPS!!!!
1.) open up Cydia
2.) at the bottom press "Manage"
3.) press "sources"
4.) you see the source that is under "Entered by user" , press "edit" (at the top right) and then press "add". Add the link the source gives.

FURTHER ON!!!

note: it is important for you to understand that you cannot upgrade your iPod or install jailbroken apps without sources. These are the steps for sources!

1.)open cydia
2.) press "search" (bottom right)
3.) type in "All sources" then click the "All sources" upgrade (should be the first one). This will install all the trusted repositories (sources) that will allow you do get more downloads. There are more out there, and i haven't found one that i cant trust yet.
4.) install the repository
5.) have fun!!! Go to "sections" (bottom middle-left) and start downloading upgrades and apps that interest you.

NOTE: Before you start going crazy you should go to the home page of Cydia and click on "featured packages" and look at the upgrades and apps there. I highly recommend just about all of them!! ESPECIALLY!!!

1.) SBSettings (this is a settings bar you can get to at any time in any app and is sooooo convenient)


2.) Winterboard (this app lets you customize the appearance of your iPod)
3.)MXtube(lets you watch youtube videos and download them so you can watch them
whenever)
4.)QuickGold (this is an application launcher. sometimes you can't find the app your looking for so you open quickgold and search for it)
5.)dTunes (this is for all you Torrent users! I dont have to explain any more)
6.)Categories!!!! (i use to love this app! and its still amazing! this creates folders that you can put apps into!!! AMAZING!!!! i once had only 5 folders on my home page and everything was in them...warning: to many apps in a folder can cause the springboard (main/home page)to crash. This is fixable by respringing the page)
7.) there are to many more, but just these will have you going!

NOTE: as you download and upgrade it will take you some time to understand what your doing exactly...but trust me, it all comes faster than you'd expect! You will be alright!

I'm sure your really interested on how i am able to do what ive done to my ipod. The Black suited spiderman picture on the lock screen and red suited spiderman for the background is a Winterboard download. The invisible "touch to slide" is also winterboard enabled. I am also able to have superman, batman and spiderman fly across my screen every 5-10 seconds (only on the main pages) (yeah! pretty cool!). The five rows, columns and main bar can be downloaded by searching "five" in Cydia.

Robots

Alright I only have two to show you today but they are way cool!!!! This first is one made by Toyota. Yeah i didnt know they did cars either, but i guess when your loseing in an industry like that its to time to evolve. Heres a video of the Robot Violinist. It's kind of freaky how agile this thing is. Toyota says that it will be released in 2010 to be used in homes and hospitals!!! (Except it will be able to do more than just play the violin) Awesome!!! I havent been able to find a price yet for this thing but from other info i've gathered on other robots i'm gonna put it in between a range of $40,000-$70,000. Yeah! This isnt gonna be one of those average home appliances that everyone has.

AMAZING!!!! Man i cant wait to see what else these things can do. (BTW i know toyota makes cars too...lol)

So they made a bathroom cleaning robot too! (not toyota someone else) It looks amazing! I'm so getting one...if they change how it looks that is. It looks kind of silly, but at the same time amazing! Say hello to LADYBIRD!

This 39 inch tall, 53 inch wide robot is equipped with heavy duty scrubbing tools, water tanks and brushes. Its got these obstacle detection sensors that allow it to manuver safely around other people while performing its duties! And!!! Thanks to microphones in its antennaes, it can have simple conversations with restroom users. The robot also has access to the latest informtation about traffic conditions on nearby roads, and to get the infor all you need to do is ask!

To conclude this segment. I think robots are very cool. But! after seeing how smooth and human like that violinist robot could move, kind of scarey. I dont want no robot cars like in the Pedestrian to rome the streets any time soon. I think we just need to be careful with how robots are used so they dont take over us. Ok i dont really believe that, but after seeing iRobot you just have to consider the option.

Just remember the 3 important rules and all will be fine:

1) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2) A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with

the First or Second Law.

Magic The Gathering

Magic the Gathering (MTG) is the father of card games and is one that i have enjoyed playing since i was 7 years old. My dad was introduced to the game when he was the leader of a young mens organization and all of his young men (ages 14-18) played Magic. He grew some interest in the game and so they taught him the game and later he taught me. This game is so much better then any of the other card games out there, especially Yugioh...blah! Theres more strategy to it then any of the other card games and theres books written about the stories behind the cards. Each new set has a story behind it that is incredible!


Anyone looking for a good game should look into magic. To get more info on the game visit:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_the_Gathering This is all you need to learn how to play the game...maybe a little more, but i would ask someone who knows how to play already (cuz the rule book is like 500 pages long...not really, but just as boring) The other part i really like about this game is that all of its cards are hand drawn, not any of this computerized crud, but the real thing. and yeah some yugioh stuff is too, but it isnt any where near as good as these drawings.

Marvels Civil War Comics

I am a huge comic fan and i think anyone else who read Marvels Civil War series would become one too. Civil War was actually the start of my love for comics. My friends told me of how the Marvel superheroes were about to go into a civil war and would fight each other because of different views for the superhero registration act. Its a 7 part series that will blow your mind. These series also bring rise to the other Marvel world series "Secret Invasion" in which an alien race known as the skrulls (shapeshifting aliens who can copy the powers of who ever they shapeshift into) try to take over the world and almost succeed, but in the end make the whole world change how it runs (CRAZY!!!!). Shortly after that Marvel gave rise to their next Marvel world series "Dark Reign" in which Norman Osborn (a.k.a. Green Goblin) becomes one of the most powerful men on the planet and takes over the global police force known as S.H.I.E.L.D, he changes it to H.A.M.M.E.R. Now he's in control of what goes on! All of these comic series are crazy good and are well worth the money spent on them. Although I admit there were some times when i was a little dissapointed in the "Secret Invasion" its still a great read.

Civil War

Civil War, as I have already stated is a 7 comic series in which the USA government creates the Superhero Registration Act. This act requires all superheros and (some) supervillains to register with the government, become paid, and TRAINED (this is the big reason for the act, to many superheros making messes during their fight b/c theyr'e not trained on the best methods of fighting techniques) officers of Justice. As you might have guessed the big dispute of this was giving up superheros secret identity. For those who kept it a secret it was so that none of the supervillains could threaten them outside of work and especially threaten their families. Captain America is against the act (big shocker!!! Since he's normally for the American law) and Iron Man is for the act (no suprise here, especially considering his identity is already known). The story and the fights are huge and fantastic and are a must read!!!!
